While it's a familiar brand at Amanojak., I'd like to briefly explain its overview before getting to the main topic.

PRASTHANA
PRASTHANA does not set clear themes or concepts every season, but instead focuses on its brand concept:
[form,function&idea]
=
[form, function, idea]
As its main axis, and also
[Japanese clothing]
[TECH]
[ARTISANAL]
[BAUHAUS]
These four elements serve as the core concept of the brand, regardless of the season.
As can be seen from these four elements, the brand is characterized by the coexistence of seemingly incompatible elements.

A rich and extensive experience beyond just apparel,
A background and culture they've absorbed,
Deep knowledge and respect for artisans,
It is precisely because designer Takei, with such a background, creates these pieces that the aforementioned four elements are hybridized, resulting in
"persuasion and beautiful sublimation."
This, I believe, is what PRASTHANA is all about.

Now, let's move on to the main topic of this event, the 26AW season. Following the 26SS season, this season also defines a keyword for its creation.
That keyword is:
"form, almost an echo."
Loosely translated, it means
fabric continuing like an echo
First, let me quote the release directly.
"Once, a structure of overlapping layers was called an 'echo.'
Fabric connects, and form is born. It faintly evokes outlines seen somewhere before.
But it is not the same.
The severed edges gently sway, without fixing their shape, slowly revealing their form while leaving a subtle vibration.
A sensation that touches memory. But now it has no definite name."

The masterpiece layered design of prasthana from the past,
"echo"
This season, it has been reinterpreted with a contemporary sensibility and created with the techniques cultivated over the years, resulting in a self-homage that has been sublimated into a new expression.
For those of you who have followed prasthana for a long time, and for us who handle it,
its silhouette feels somewhat nostalgic, yet the details, crafted with advanced techniques and thought, stand as an entirely different expression.
The item that best embodies this season's keyword is:
raw form coat

Available in two colors: BLACK and DEEP BROWN.

The silhouette is a vertical single-breasted coat.
Both textiles use heavy-weight moleskin, a homage to 1960s French moleskin.
The BLACK is sulfur-dyed, and over time, it will gradually change its expression to a deep black, unique to its aging process.
For DEEP BROWN, the surface of the brown moleskin is pigment-coated, then washed to create an uneven brushstroke effect.
Due to the nature of the pigment coating, the base brown color is exposed at the cut edges, making the cut finish stand out even more.

Beneath the flavorful moleskin outer fabric, a high-count cotton typewriter is layered, revealing the design that symbolizes this season,
"echo"
appears.

The first layer has a stiff texture.
and
The second layer is soft and features a unique washed feel.
Please enjoy the new echoes created by these two layers with vastly different characteristics.
Furthermore, batting is inserted only in the body to improve warmth.
Leather is used throughout to add a stoic presence.
Highest quality buffalo horn buttons are used.
This piece symbolizes the 26AW season, crafted as the ultimate outer garment without compromising on any element.

The brand's signature item,
"Sarrouel"
Has been further upgraded in the form of,
sarrouel denim pants_01

By introducing sarrouel pants in denim for the first time, a style previously often offered in jersey or sweat materials,
The brand has been pursuing and proposing for years
"drop style"is expressed with a more modern and sharp balance.
The textile is available in three types with different processing methods.
A: One-wash + tumbler
B: Mist bleach
C: Urethane coating brush application
Three types with different characteristics are available.

These pants are at the core of prasthana's style formation, and designer Takei explicitly calls them "the latest and greatest form at this stage." Please come to the store and experience this masterpiece.

As someone who prides myself on loving shirts, I definitely wanted to introduce this one:
rudiment shirt

Utilizing two materials with different properties:
High-density cotton/linen blend canvas
and
Cotton/silk blend nep fabric
This is a regular collar L/S shirt made from two different materials.

These two types of textiles boast a natural presence, highlighting the rustic charm and uneven texture inherent in natural fibers.
What I want to emphasize is its exquisite silhouette.
The slim arm, which creates a beautifully sharp impression through its two-piece sleeve construction rather than a cylinder, and
The just-right width that drapes perfectly, taking into account the moderate fabric thickness and weight, creates a compact, refined, and beautiful silhouette.
Both materials feature Italian-made metal buttons, adding a certain coldness and tension unique to industrial products.
Furthermore, by finishing various sections with cut edges, a rich expression is created, lending an edgy atmosphere.
By thoroughly pursuing every detail, the item is finished as a minimal yet strongly individual piece.

And the base layer series, which has received overwhelming support every season, has been further updated, resulting in:
Kiso long sleeve_01

Following last season, it is available in two different materials.
A hand-washable wool jersey material that is guaranteed to be useful in winter.
and
A tech rib jersey made from a polyester/polyurethane blend that can be used year-round.

While the neckline is set slightly wider, gussets are provided on both sides to express a profound presence, similar to layered designs.
The thumbholes at the cuffs have been updated to a new shape.
Additionally, darts and switching are incorporated throughout, updating the piece to be suitable for wearing alone, not just as an inner layer.
While I'd like to say "choose what you like!", the clear differences in intended use for each material mean you should definitely consider both types.

We still have other apparel items, but please let me introduce this item, which has received many inquiries since the lookbook was released.
The 4th product has been released from "p|p", a collaboration project between prasthana and "Portaille", a leather shoe artisan brand based in Kobe.
「 p|p」
The fourth product from "p|p" has been released.

This project, which started in the 25AW season,
is already on its fourth installment.
The creations, from lasting to finishing,
are all made by human hands,
embodying the true meaning of
“ARTISANAL”.
This project, p|p, aims to create new value
by fusing the pure craftsmanship
with the design philosophy cultivated
through prasthana's creative activities.
The outline of this fourth installment
of such a special project is
"Short shoes with German hooks"

This is the first time we're offering
a low-cut length shoe, and it's
a deep, dull gray color instead of black.
Since PP-001 to PP-003 were dark boots,
this pair has a clearly different
new look from before.

The material used is original
steer leather (bull's hide)
from a tannery in Himeji,
a world-renowned leather production area,
with colors and oil content adjusted by drum tanning.
The rough texture, with blood vessels
and unevenness running across the surface,
leaving traces of life as they are,
is beautiful precisely because it is not uniform,
and it has an ARTISANAL persuasiveness
that cannot be replaced by any other material.
The included German hooks and
the crimp parts on the heel are made of brass
with a black smoked finish.
By applying a black smoked finish to the highly
lustrous brass, it takes on a decayed shadow,
enhancing its affinity with the leather.
Another great appeal is the aging process,
where the base brass color gradually emerges with use,
and the materials mature together.

The manufacturing method is BLACK RAPID.
It combines the comfortable fit and good flexibility
of the McKay method with the excellent durability
of the Goodyear welt method.
This manufacturing method, which combines both,
can be said to be an ideal technology for plp,
as it achieves both beauty and robustness simultaneously.
The design is a low-cut model
characterized by a unique
component structure that broadly covers the front.
The structure, which crosses the front from the inside
and fastens with a snap lock, is simple yet
highly rational and achieves
excellent fit performance.
The stacked heel has a slight forward angle,
creating a sharp and sophisticated impression.
Furthermore, by adopting the
Vibram #1100 tank sole for the outsole,
delicacy and ruggedness,
tension and power.
This work boasts an overwhelming degree of perfection,
achieving these conflicting elements in a single pair of shoes.
A culmination of "ARTISANAL"
that only both can achieve.
Please come to the store to experience this special pair,
which proposes new value
that is clearly different from previous works.

How was it?
"The latest is the best."
This is a phrase Mr. Takei repeats
every season, almost as if he is trying to convince himself,
or perhaps to wish for it.
It's not about just creating something new,
but about reinterpreting and updating
the accumulated time, past items,
and the memories residing within them,
with all the techniques and thoughts
we possess today.
I believe that is what PRASTHANA considers to be "the latest."

That is why this season, which is somewhat of a self-homage,
I feel that these words resonate with even stronger persuasiveness.
Despite having a nostalgic silhouette,
it embodies a more powerful
and refined sense of value.
Those who have followed the brand for a long time
will surely be deeply moved,
and those who are new to it
will experience an overwhelming sense of perfection.
Please take this special opportunity
to visit Amanojak.Kitakanju store
and experience the brand PRASTHANA.

On April 25th (Saturday) during the exhibition period,
designer Takei will be present,
providing a special opportunity to experience
the brand's world more directly.
We sincerely look forward to your visit
along with the designer.
Goodbye👋
